We Survived Spain's CRAZIEST Fire Festival - Sitges Festa Major (Sant Bartomeu)

Описание: The Sitges Festa Major is an annual event, celebrating Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla and is one of the craziest Spanish Fire Festivals there is.

This year, we decided to brave the fire and visit this amazing Festa Major, Sitges. This was to be our third time at the Sitges Festa Major, having previously been in 2012 and 2014, and now 2024.

We wanted to see if this Festa Major in Sitges had changed much in the ten years we had been away, but it hadn't. It's still one of the craziest Fire Festivals in the whole of Spain.

We wanted to make the ultimate Sitges Festa Major 2024 Vlog and showcase the tradition, the passion, the fun and the craziness of this traditional Spanish Festival.

The Festa Major in Sitges is a traditional Catalonian festival held every August, honouring the town’s patron saints, Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla. Known for its vibrant and fiery celebrations, the festival is filled with live music, parades, and colourful fireworks displays. A major highlight is the "Correfoc," or "fire run," where costumed devils dance through the streets, waving giant sparklers and fireworks, creating a thrilling atmosphere of controlled chaos. It's a cultural event that blends heritage, excitement, and fire in one unforgettable celebration.

In this Sitges Festa Major vlog, we check out the preparations and rehearsals for the festival, we watch the dressing of the Moorish Giants (or Gegants), we attend the opening Festa Major ceremony and then we take part in all of the main Festa Major processions and other events as well of watch probably the Best Fireworks Display in Spain.

This was the third time we had seen the stunning fireworks display in Sitges during the Sitges Festa Major, but it was incredible, and probably the best firework display we have ever seen.
