This video demonstrates our autonomous mobile robot completing the full track using multiple sensors for intelligent decision-making. The robot uses IR line sensors to continuously follow the track by detecting the contrast between the line and the surface. A light-dependent resistor (LDR) is used to detect tunnel entry by monitoring changes in ambient light levels. When a tunnel is detected, the robot activates an ultrasonic sensor to measure distance and detect obstacles ahead in real time.
The ultrasonic sensor allows the robot to avoid collisions by triggering an escape maneuver when an object is detected within a safe distance. All sensor data is processed by a PIC microcontroller, enabling smooth transitions between line following, tunnel navigation, obstacle avoidance, and final parking.
