I didn’t want to write something raunchy.

And I didn’t want to treat it casually.

Because this part of marriage, the closeness, the vulnerability, the physical and emotional connection, was never meant to be empty or careless. It was designed as a gift from God. A sacred connection meant to be held with intention, safety, and love between a husband and wife.

There is something incredibly beautiful about knowing you get to share this part of life with one person. That it’s protected. That it’s rooted in covenant, not convenience. That it’s an extension of trust, commitment, and choosing each other over and over again, long after the wedding day passes.

Ten years of marriage later, life looks nothing like it did in 2016.
We’ve grown up. Built a home. Had babies. Learned how to love each other in new seasons. Learned how to stay when it’s hard and give thanks when it’s sweet.
