Five Things to Know BEFORE You Buy a Kawasaki KLR 650

Описание: Now that I've spent a few months and a few thousand miles with my 2022 Kawasaki KLR 650 Adventure, I feel like I have a pretty good handle on what it's like to own one. For those of you shopping for a Kawasaki KLR 650 of your own and looking for an in-depth KLR 650 review, let me offer you five pieces of advice and insight that I've picked up in my time with my 2022 KLR 650. These things will apply to a KLR of any year or generation, so no matter which year dual sport you're looking at, hopefully there's something for you to learn here.

The first thing to know is that the Kawasaki KLR 650 community, both online and in person, is fantastic. They're unassuming and helpful and a great resource for new dual sport and adventure motorcycle riders.

Second, the KLR 650 is truly a do anything bike and is a fantastic value. This bike isn't a ten in anything, but it is a seven in everything, and it's hard to find another dual sport motorcycle that offers as much value for the money as the KLR does.

Third, while the bike is very capable, it's not super capable. It's good at a lot of things but not great at anything, so if you're looking for the most comfortable or capable ADV bike, the KLR may not be for you.

Fourth, it's a great bike for beginners because the KLR 650 is easy to ride and handle, but it's also such a capable and reliable adventure motorcycle that you can keep it forever and never run out of things to do with it.

Finally, and perhaps most disappointingly, the Kawasaki KLR 650 is a little boring. Twisting the throttle of the KLR is not exciting, and a more experienced rider might find themselves wanting more dual sport motorcycle features or capability.
