Loki's big pantload about freedom should sound familiar. "There are no men like me" is the entrenched belief of all men (or women) who think they're fit to rule others. Their definition of "freedom" is them in charge. They just know it's Their Destiny™. Firebreathing arrogance.
When they all learn to find honest work that actually benefits their fellow humanoids without political coercion, we'll all be better off.
