For the last 4 years, I have tracked every clothing purchase I have made. I originally started doing it for fun because I wanted to understand my shopping habits - it felt like I was always buying stuff and giving things away. And honestly, I've found that not only do I shop a lot, but so much of what I have bought is no longer in my closet. It hasn't been great for my bank account, and I'm almost certain some of the stuff I've given away has ended up in a landfill which sucks.
On the bright side, tracking what I've bought and given away has taught me some really clear lessons about what makes a piece last in my wardrobe. And so I hope that some of these tips will help you with your own shopping habits. ❤️
