In US news and current events today, the coronavirus COVID-19 is taking a toll on our heath care system, including nursing homes and so much more. 1.5 million Americans live in nursing homes. Since the coronavirus outbreak, the lives of all these people in nursing homes have changed in several ways.

With concerns of spreading COVID-19 the federal government has recommended that people do not visiting nursing homes, meaning so many seniors and others in care are unable to get visits from their loved ones. People 65 or older are at serious risk of illness from the virus.
