In this episode, I pick up right where we left off and dig deeper into both settlement building and the Railroad storyline in Fallout 4 Survival Mode.

Here’s what happens this time:

🛠 Upgrading “Mega Planes” (Jamaica Plain)

Expand the upper floor with more beds and a defensive firing position

Add extra water production, lighting, and plan space for a future market area

Upgrade Kate’s armor and boost our power grid so the settlement can grow

🧟 Helping Somerville Place & Clearing a Ghoul-Infested School

Head through the swampy south, dealing with bugs, mirelurks, radstags, and the occasional jump scare

Take on a creepy school full of feral ghouls, glowing fungus, weapons stashes, and a very opinionated Caite

Grab comics, loot, and return overdue library books for tokens and prizes

🐻 Wasteland Wildlife & Survival Juggling

Fight yao guai, wild dogs, and random ambushes while low on ammo and carrying way too much junk

Deal with sickness, antibiotics, food, water, and weight management in Survival Mode

Get startled more than once by mutating enemies and surprise attacks

🏡 Defending Red Rocket & Managing Settlements

(Off-camera due to recording issues) defend Red Rocket from super mutants

Shuffle settlers between farms, set up new vendors, and try to make each settlement actually functional

Keep building up my “fertilizer farm” with brahmin traps for future ammo crafting

🕵️ Joining Up with Deacon & the Railroad – “Tradecraft”

Meet Deacon in disguise, follow Railroad rail signs, and use the right countersign with the tourist

Infiltrate the old Slocum’s Joe / Switchboard facility through the escape tunnel

Fight Gen 1 and Gen 2 synths, hack terminals, and turn on turrets for a little extra chaos

Recover Dr. Carrington’s prototype, find Tommy Whispers’ legendary hand cannon, and learn more about PAM and pre-war intel projects

Escape through a minefield (eventually without blowing myself up) and head back toward the Railroad


If you enjoy chill-but-chaotic Survival Mode gameplay, lots of exploring, settlement tinkering, and companions with very questionable ideas of a “good time” (looking at you, Kate), you’re in the right place.
