In this series, the Doctor and the Boy will be racing each other through Pokémon Fool's Gold, a creative and chaotic ROM hack of Pokémon Crystal that completely reimagines the Johto region (and beyond!).
In Fool's Gold, every one of the original 251 Pokémon has been redesigned with new regional forms. That means new types, new sprites, different evolution lines, and totally unexpected move sets. You might think you know what to expect from a Hoothoot or a Sandshrew—but trust us, you don’t. This hack keeps even veteran players on their toes with its clever twists and surprises.
The goal? Simple: be the first to defeat the Elite Four. But with two players taking different routes, making different choices, and reacting to the unpredictable changes of Fool’s Gold, this race is sure to get intense—and maybe a little bit silly.
