Fifty years ago, heroin was a drug that mainly plagued the inner cities. Today, there’s a new face of heroin – young kids living in the suburbs.
Steve welcomes a mother and her three daughters who are scared that their 20-year-old son and brother MUNIR will die from his heroin addiction. With the help of HLN’s DR. DREW PINSKY, Steve will talk to the family to get a better understanding of how bad Munir’s addiction is. Munir will join his family on the “Steve Harvey” stage, where he will undergo a surprise intervention and be offered the chance to attend rehab.
TIM RYAN, founder of A Man In Recovery Foundation and a recovering addict himself who lost his son to a heroin overdose, will join in on the conversation to try and convince Munir to accept this life-changing offer.
