Migrating Hyper-V Virtual Machines to UnRAID (Server 2022, 2019, 2016, 2012 R2) for Beginners

Описание: This was the only thing I wanted to know how to do with UnRAID. There are some dated tutorials that now have enough inaccuracies that this was merited as a refresher.

If you're already running a VM or two in Hyper-V, you likely already have an prerequisite knowledge needed to follow this short tutorial.

There isn't really a "hot" way to do this, so if you're expecting Vcenter live migration style lateral movement, this is basically the opposite.

The 25 minute video is essentially condensed into the following steps:
Shut down
Copy the VHDX
Paste on UnRAID server
Convert it to .IMG
Make it your source disk
Assign "SATA" bus
Add 1 "Virtio" 1MB disk
Boot
Install drivers
Shut down
Change SATA to Virtio
Remove the 1MB disk
Ensure graphics driver is installed on top of Microsoft basic display
Done.
