About fifteen years ago, I had heard of using these for spot and stalk, archery hunting. Being fresh out of any old pairs of nikes, I decided to give it a whirl. It turned out to be a great decision and definitely has my vote for the best shoes you can buy for this style of hunting. Just watch out for cactus and snakes ;) .
