In this video, I go over the formulas relating the Km and Vmax for with and without inhibitors. The idea here is that you will have the following base formulas:
Km(+I) = (alpha/alpha prime)(Km-I)
Vmax(+I) = (1/alpha prime)(Vmax-I)
Depending on the type of inhibitor, you will cross out the alpha or alpha prime in the formulas above to get to the correct equation for your desired inhibitor.
Conceptually understanding these formulas will help in case you ever forget how your Lineweaver-Burk plot looks for the different inhibitors or if you forget how the Km or Vmax changes based on the type of your inhibitor.
