UV light is an effective treatment against mildew. Together with NMBU Robotics spin-off company Saga Robotics, we brought a couple of Thorvald robots over the Atlantic to Florida, USA. We fitted the robots with special UV-frames and set them up for autonomous operation on a commercial farm. The treatment is completely automatic from start to end.
The farm in Florida is one of several locations where we in NMBU Robotics are working closely with farmers, plant pathologists and light experts on creating autonomous UV robots.
