On Thursday 3rd October 2024 The Mayor of Charnwood, Dr Julie Bradshaw MBE along with Mayoress, Julie Ellerbeck, attended the official opening of Taylors Bellfoundry, Loughborough. After the opening speech by Murray Colville DL, the Mayor cut the ribbon and all attending had an amazing tour round the building
As Charnwood Borough Council write:
"Fantastic news that a project to secure the future of the iconic Taylor's Bellfoundry in Loughborough has been completed!
The project includes a new-look museum along with improvements to the building’s roof, further access and the creation of educational facilities.
This will help protect the historic Grade II* listed building for generations to come.
The project has been funded through Loughborough Town Deal and The National Lottery Heritage Fund"
