Описание: In this video we look at an Error Correction scheme, namely Hamming Code. In Hamming code one has multiple parity bits for data bits that are grouped such that each bit belongs to a unique set of groups. The data transmitter (or the one writing data to storage) calculates the parity bit for each group. Next, the receiver (or the one reading the data from storage) performs the parity calculation for each group. It determines which groups violate parity. But since each bit belongs to a unique set of groups, the flipped (offending) bit can be identified (under the assumption of a single flipped bit).
