It is not.

On the surface, the tests look identical. Same psychology tests. Same GTO tasks. Same interview format. Same PIQ and CIQ structure.
But the evaluation parameters are not the same.

In this video, I explain the real difference between Civilian Entry candidates (NDA, CDS, TES, TGC, JAG, etc.) and Service Entry candidates (ACC, SCO, PCSL and others). Why memorised preparation may pass unnoticed in a civilian fresher, but can seriously damage credibility for a service candidate. Why lived military experience changes the assessment lens.

Trainability depends on several factors, such as:
• Age
• Social background
• Parents’ education and occupation
• Financial background
• Nature and type of schooling
• Life experience at different stages
• Nature of friends and their influence
• Present level of preparation
• Anticipated potential after structured training
• Duration of training
• Aptitude for learning

For service candidates, there is an additional and critical factor.
They are already part of the military system.

Their training record, courses attended, operational exposure, appointments held, service conduct, and overall performance in uniform are not theory. They are lived realities. And that changes the way they are assessed.
