Since I got into model railways in late 2016 the one train I wanted to obtain was a SEPTA push-pull train with an AEM-7. In November 2016 the first step in this goal was realized when I purchased my first model train locomotive, an Atlas AEM-7 in SEPTA livery. But with the SEPTA Walthers Horizon (Coment II) carriages hard to come by, I had to buy some Metro North carriages as a substitute.
However in April 2017 against the odds, I won my first ever ebay auction and won 5 Walthers Horizon coaches in SEPTA livery! My goal of obtaining a SEPTA push-pull train was complete (even if the real thing runs with 6 - 7 carriages).
In this video we see the train run two services at the 'Stonnington Valley Railway', a HO scale layout located at the Australian Model Railway Assocation's Victorian branch. We see both the AEM-7 and the cab car leading a train.
