📖 PART 57 Practical Anarchy – A Guide to Self-Determination
In this episode, we examine the idea that scarcity is natural, unavoidable and caused by there being “too many people”.
Scarcity is routinely used to justify hierarchy, borders, competition and inequality. We are told there is not enough housing, not enough energy, not enough food – and that someone else must therefore be blamed.
This episode shows how scarcity is largely manufactured: through hoarding, enclosure, borders, profit extraction and artificial shortages. The planet already produces enough to meet human needs, yet deprivation persists because access is controlled.
We also explore how “pub psychology” turns complex structural problems into simple population stories – and how nationalism, borders and migration myths reinforce the illusion of shortage.
Rather than offering slogans or ideology, this series asks what actually works – and what quietly reproduces hierarchy, authority and control.
This series follows the structure of the book and builds a connected critique of power, money, the State, work, control, technology, ecology and resistance – one section at a time.
