Описание: This is a quick demonstration of an Ideal Industries SureTest Circuit Analyzer to determine if it can identify an RPBG Outlet (Reverse Polarity Bootleg Ground). While it does a great job of calling attention to the fact that an outlet is wired as a Bootleg (False) Ground, it does NOT warn you that a Bootleg/False ground outlet is wired with reverse polarity. An RPBG outlet is perhaps the most dangerous mis-wired outlet possible since it electrifies the neutral and ground contacts with a full 120-volts that can sustain 15 to 20 amps or more of fault current to an earth ground or other appliance. Standard 3-light outlet testers and Ground Loop Impedance Testers such as the Ideal SureTest, Amprobe INSP-3, and Extech CT70 can NOT tell the difference between a CORRECT Polarity Bootleg Ground and a REVERSE Polarity Bootleg Ground. Remember that ALL bootleg grounded outlets are against Code and should be rewired with a GFCI outlet labeled as "No Ground".
