'Our IPO Is Likely In 7–8 Months: NSE’s Ashish Chauhan On Listing Timeline | Budget 2026 | ET Now
NSE Managing Director & CEO Ashish Chauhan has provided fresh clarity on the much-awaited NSE IPO, saying the listing is likely to take place in the next 7–8 months.
Speaking on the post-Budget market reaction and tax changes, Chauhan emphasised that NSE’s IPO will be a pure Offer For Sale (OFS), with no fresh capital being raised. Pricing, he said, will be determined closer to the listing based on prevailing market conditions and the exchange’s long-term profitability, not short-term volatility or recent STT changes.
With over 1.9 lakh shareholders already on its books, NSE is already operating with listed-company-like disclosures, making the IPO largely a step towards formal listing and liquidity for shareholders.
