As you walk along the shore, you will be surrounded by tall Suru trees on one side and a vast expanse of the sea on the other. The major attractions that draw visitors here are the Kelva Fort and the Shitladevi Temple located near the lakeside. There are also plenty of resorts and hotels that offer a comfortable stay for tourists.
Kelva is considered one of the cleanest, most untouched and silent beaches in India. For many years, very few people knew about this place, which made it feel like an unseen treasure. However, this is now changing as the beach is becoming more popular among Mumbaikars. You will find many visitors, especially on weekends. The beach looks its best during early mornings and just after sunset. The sound of the Suru leaves swaying along with the gentle waves creates a soothing and peaceful rhythm.
