Nilanjam Dev, the Public Relations Officer (NFR), says, "The location where we are standing is Bridge No. 196. The length of the Bairabi–Sairang project is 51.38 kilometres. At this intersection, there are 48 tunnels and 148 bridges, of which 55 are major bridges. One of these major bridges has piers with a length of 114 meters, which is 42 meters taller than the Qutub Minar. This makes it the highest bridge in this section and the second-highest pier bridge in Indian Railways... PM Modi laid its foundation stone in 2014, so within 10 years, this project was completed. With this, Mizoram becomes the 4th northeast state to be directly connected to the Indian Railways network."
