A viewer reached out asking for help with their hard to start when warm KLX110. If the bike runs great in other cases, a hot starting issue is often related to the valves.
Here is a complete walk through of the inspection and adjustment process as per the Kawasaki Service Manual with some tricks to avoid special tools. Don't let valves scare you away on these 110 bikes, it's a fairly simple job and hopefully this helps you gain some confidence in what needs to be done.
The allowable range for most KLX110 valves is 0.04 - 0.08mm and is the same for both intake and exhaust valves. There are only two valves in this system.
The torque specs for the 8mm cover bolts are all 46 inch pounds.
