After leaving the aqueduct just outside Wrexham, we headed to Barmouth and ended up with a fantastic free parking spot. We parked on the beach right next to what would be the evening firework display. A quick look around Barmouth, which we loved, followed by an hour wait for fish and chips (worth it) and we found ourselves sat in the van, eating dinner with an amazing view of the fireworks. Whilst queueing for our dinner we got chatting to some great girls from Aberystwyth who suggested we pay their town a visit. They recommended The Devils Bridge, which unfortunately we didn't have time to visit but will come back to.
We drove to Aberystwyth on Sunday morning after a good nights sleep in Barmouth. We parked at the seafront for breakfast and then had a wander around the centre. Then it was time for the long drive back to the New Forest. We have decided that we like what we have seen of North Wales so far and will be coming back here again.
