Описание: Join us as we walk and 'sometimes' talk as we continue our 13 mile circular walk from Pickering. This stage takes us from Ellerburn back to Thornton-le-Dale in beautiful North Yorkshire.

We're not taking about anything too serious, just things that catch our eye as we enjoy the stunning countryside and interesting sights. We're a couple that works hard through the week and walk as much as we can at the weekend to ease the stresses and strains of everyday life.

We walk for enjoyment, fitness and mental wellbeing.

Starting back at Ellerburn's St Hilda's Church we encounter the cutest laidback cats at Low Farm Campsite. Continuing alongside Thornton Beck we see "baby ducks"... aka duckings and hear the bloodcurdling cry of a lamb separated from mum.

Everyday is a school day as we come across 'Willow Spiling', the ancient art of river bank erosion prevention. Back in Thornton-le-Dale the beck cascades along the side of Thornton Mill which was a water powered corn mill before Burgess bought the mill in 1922.

The first 'Mr Whippy' of the year minus 'Monkey's Blood' (aka strawberry sauce), as our request was met with a very puzzled expression, the server was clearly not a child of the 1970's.
