Our student host, Sean Fitzsimmons, is not a musician. He is a blacksmith and knife maker from New Jersey. He can play the guitar a little bit, and has a few songs to share. This will be his first ever live performance.
Morningsong, a Danish custom of singing, folklore, and camaraderie, is how we start class days at the Folk School. Before breakfast, from 7:45 to 8:15, three days a week, folks congregate to listen to music, stories, and jokes. All are encouraged to sing along. Friday’s performances are streamed live on our Facebook page.
