The Swedish dumpling is an old traditional dish consumed mainly in the southeastern part of Sweden.
Mainly there are two kinds of dumplings, the one from Småland and the one from Öland. The biggest difference in the making process is the potato as in Öland You make the dumpling out of raw potatoes meanwhile in Småland you boil the potatoes before setting it togheter.
Residents from both places are still arguing about whose dumplings that taste the best.
Recipe:
1 kg potatoes
1 egg
300 g bacon
2 onions
2,5 dl flour
1 tablespoon salt
0,5 tablespoon pimento
