Many immigrants hold unprocessed grief inside which feels like a stuck and frozen energy inside us. It doesn't allow us to feel our aliveness or be fully present in the moment. It robs us of the possibility to be where we currently live, because the past continues to haunt us.
When grief moves through us, we feel lighter. The emptied space naturally fills up with authenticity, joy and a sense of rootedness.
