NYCCC's Professional Dance Team,
DCNY (Dance China of New York)
presented this Tibetan Dance at
NYCCC's ArtsBrookfield Chinese New Year Celebration
The dance and presentation are characterized by
lively and dynamic steps, jumps, and spins
accompanied by the pop, wave, extension and 'whip'
of flowing long sleeves, and exuberant whoops and shouts,
contrasted with slow, rhythmic rocking and swaying movements
For Tibetans life is a celebration of freedom, camaraderie,
friendship, family and the inviting beauty of nature
and the landscape they live and travel in
