Have you ever imagined being 8,5 months pregnant and have have to defend your dissertation? Neither has Sastia ever imagined would be in the situation. After that day, her career as a scientist and a mother began. She managed to juggle between the two roles and believes that women everywhere can have the same dream and achievement. Currently Sastia leads the metabolomic application group for microbial biotechnology, especially for biofuel production and for Indonesian food products.
