The 2026 BYD Denza N8L is a premium full-size plug-in hybrid SUV designed to deliver both high performance and long-distance efficiency. It uses BYD’s advanced e3 technology and a powerful tri-motor drivetrain paired with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. The system produces a combined output of around 751–762 horsepower (560 kW) and 900 Nm of torque. The combustion engine alone generates 152 kW (207 hp), while the front electric motor produces 200 kW (268 hp) and the two rear motors deliver between 180 kW and 240 kW each. This high-performance setup enables the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of approximately 220 km/h.

The electrified system is supported by a 46.99 kWh Blade Battery that allows the vehicle to travel up to 230 km in pure electric mode based on the CLTC cycle. When combining electric power with the fuel engine, the Denza N8L can achieve a total driving range of up to 1,300 km on a full charge and tank. Fast charging capability allows the battery to recharge from 20% to 80% in roughly 20 to 30 minutes, making it practical for long trips and daily commuting while maintaining strong performance and efficiency.

Dimensionally, the SUV measures 5,200 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,820 mm in height, with a slightly taller 1,990 mm version available with an integrated drone system. It rides on a 3,075 mm wheelbase and offers a ground clearance of about 25 cm, which can automatically lower to 11.5 cm in “Welcome Mode” through the active suspension system. Inside, the six-seat cabin follows a 2+2+2 layout and features a technology-focused interior with a 17.3-inch floating infotainment screen, a 13.2-inch passenger display, and a large 50-inch augmented-reality head-up display. Additional highlights include a built-in refrigerator, a 32-megapixel pop-up camera, heated seats with a 100 mm sliding adjustment range, BYD’s DiSus-A cloud-controlled active suspension, and rear-wheel steering. In China, pre-sales pricing ranges from about 299,800 to 329,800 RMB, roughly equivalent to $42,000–$46,000 USD.
