Yngve Holen arbeitet mit industriell gefertigten Objekten der Gegenwart. Anhand von Autoteilen, Grenzzäunen oder CT-Scannern zeigt er die Machtverhältnisse und Hierarchien, die hinter den Waren stehen: Wir sind, was wir produzieren. Isoliert aus dem eigentlichen Gebrauchskontext und ohne den Bezug zum Menschen wird das zweckhafte Wesen der durch ihn selektierten Dinge umso offensichtlicher. Im TALK mit der Sammlung Boros erläutert Yngve Holen seine Arbeitspraxis und die Absurdität eines Glaubens an die Güter unserer Zeit.
