Hello, my name is Chi Ho Ng. I work for LMI Technologies, and what I'm showing here is a combination of Nerian products as well as LMI Technologies products. Both of them are snapshot sensors, which means that the target does not have to move and we can still capture a full resolution 3D scan.

This is an LMI Technologies product. While both sensors are snapshot-based, this one uses a different technology. By that, what I mean is that if you look closer at the pattern, it projects a series of patterns every time it generates 3D data. Through this series of patterns, it can compute and generate a highly accurate 3D point cloud.

The model being shown here is called Gocator 3210. There are customizations available for this model with varying measurement ranges, resolutions, and accuracy. The demo I'm showing is a scan of a few different laser welded tracks.

The software is delivered directly from the sensor itself, so you do not need an extra PC for it to run. All you need is a PC with a web browser; you can connect to the sensor, and all of the processing, visualizations, and 3D generation are done through the controllers built into the sensor.

What we are showing here are scans of the different laser tracks mentioned earlier. Not only does it display beautiful and impressive 3D data, but it also demonstrates the ability to detect minute differences between the tracks. You can see that some scans show data throughout the whole track, while others only show a portion.

Both of these sensors can be mounted on a fixed frame, as seen in the demo, but they are also well-suited for mounting on the arm of a robot. This way, robots can move the sensor to different parts of a larger object to inspect various features.
