Flan de Pana Madura Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup of sugar
2 tbsp of water
1 can of evaporated milk
1 can of condensed milk
1 cup of coconut milk
2 oz. of cream cheese
3 eggs
1 ¼ cup of ripe pana/breadfruit
Pinch of salt
½ tsp of almond extract
1 tsp of vanilla
½ tsp of cinnamon
Instructions:
1- In a microwave glass container, place 1 cup of sugar and 2 tbsp of water. Microwave for 6 minutes on high. Check for color of the caramel, if it is not the color you want, continue microwaving in intervals of 10-15 seconds.
2- Pour the caramel into the mold you will be using.
3- Place everything in a blender except for the pana. Blend until thoroughly mixed.
4- Add the raw pana and blend for about a minute until well incorporated, the mixture will thicken as it blends.
5- Pour into the caramel mold.
6- Bake at 325 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
7- Make sure that knife comes out clean and let cool.
8- Enjoy with whipped cream!
