I have discussed the syllabus of GATE DA and how can you prepare for it, what are scope and opportunities after gate DA and important discussion.

In 2024, a new paper will be introduced in GATE – Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DA).
Now, this can be really helpful for non-CS/IT students who are looking to enter in # datascience-related field.

This will also open lots of opportunities in research areas, as in IITs many projects are coming which require the knowledge of #datascience and core domain knowledge. So, for those who are interested in doing MS in IITs, I strongly recommend them to choose GATE DA as a 2nd paper. Even if you simply qualify and didn't score much in the DA paper but have a good score in the core paper, e.g. Mechanical. It will really boost your chances of doing MS in IITs/IISc

The syllabus for GATE DA 2024 is in-line with IIT Madras BS in Data Science course.

#Probability and Statistics: Refer to IITM BS Stats 1 and Stats 2 course
Linear Algebra & Calculus: Refer to IITM BS Maths 2 course
#Programming and DSA: Refer to IITM BS Intro to Python and PDSA course
#Database Management: Refer to IITM BS DBMS course
Machine Learning: Refer to IITM BS MLT course.

This is the first time #GATE is conducting DA paper, so expecting basic-level questions from DBMS, ML, Python & DSA, but good-level questions can come from Probability, Statistics, Linear Algebra and Calculus part.
Every eligible student should attempt GATE DA.
