Magie Cook never did—and as a Latina woman, LGBTQ, with ADHD in a male-dominated business world, she had every reason to. The barriers are real. Pay gaps, glass ceilings, representation gaps—they exist.

But Magie's insight goes deeper. She argues that women often become their own greatest obstacle by internalizing the "no's" directed at them. The shift from accepting external barriers to refusing to believe them internally is where real power emerges. That's where the real power comes from.

• Your so-called disadvantages aren't bugs—they're features. Magie's Latina identity, her LGBTQ status, and her ADHD—most people would list those as obstacles, yet she saw each one as a superpower. ADHD brought creativity and resilience. Her identity brought authenticity and connection to communities underrepresented in leadership. When you flip that lens, the entire playing field changes.
• The belief system you choose matters more than your circumstances. Magie could've accepted every premise about who gets to be a CEO, who gets heard, and what a leader looks like. She didn't. That refusal—not arrogance, but a conscious choice about which beliefs to adopt—became her foundation.
