Raag Samay Chakra Maalika --
In traditional Hindustani Classical Music, the raags are rendered in chronology based on the time of the day.
The raagas based on Re Dha Komal, Re Dha Shuddha and Ga Ni Komal are usually recited in that order. The raagas based on Shuddha Madhyam are usually rendered in the mornings whilst those based on Teevra Madhyam are rendered in the evenings. In this manner the cosmic cycle of time comes full circle.
Each one of us holds our vocations in great esteem. The artist, too, holds his music in the same high regard. Vidushi Kumudini Katdare's desire to fulfill her devotion to classical music, resulted in the creation of Raag Samay Chakra Maalika. The composition Pathik Parikrama Suphala Manaawat captures in a very apt manner, deep sense of joy and contentment on the journey of her life.
