This should have been terrifying, really. He should have been swallowing back vomit and panting with fear, but he just felt… apathetic.

But I’m giving into impulse 🫣 and I’m going to post the next two chapters this weekend (so this one and then one more)
This means a little bit of a binge read for people, but it does mean the break is going to be a couple of weeks longer
But I’m weirdly very fond of these next two chapters haha so I hope you enjoy them!!

Some quick house keeping points:
1) Please make note of the tags, but also be aware that the tags are NOT exhaustive by any means, and I don't intend them to be - this is a long long fic and tagging everything would be impossible, and would 100% be a spoiler. HOWEVER! The tags I have included very much give an accurate picture of the vibe and content of this fic, which is dark, dark, dark.
2) The level of 'Character Death' in this fic will be comparable with canon, i.e characters you know and love may die. The only exception I make for this is Drarry - Drarrillyeveryafter is always the goal! If I read a fic this long only for the two main characters to have an unhappy ending I'd be less than pleased 😂 but they are the ONLY characters with plot armour
3) Be kind to each other and yourself :) this fic is heavy going, and I promise you it's not worth the read if it's going to bring up anything too unpleasant for you.
