Staying In on a Rainy Night with Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers || Marvel Ambience [Read Desc!]

You were content in yourself as you were sitting comfortably on the couch of the apartment you shared with your two best friends, Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes. They were frequent visitors at your place and every time you were with them, you felt at peace.

Normally you would have the windows open but there was light rain all day and so you kept them closed. It was still the fall season and the cold was coming in, hence the fireplace you had going. You especially had to make sure the place was warm so Steve wouldn’t get sick, being that his poor health made him more likely to get sick. Though he would say he wouldn’t mind if you were his nurse; it wouldn’t be the first time you made a skinny sick Steve chicken soup to help him feel better.

It was evening now and after you had eaten, the three of you relaxed for the rest of the night. Bucky and Steve were in the dining room playing cards and using peanuts as ‘betting chips’ while you had yourself in the midst of a good book. Since you all couldn’t go out in the rain, you decided to turn the radio on to see if there were any good programs worth listening to.

As you were into your book, you took a glance to see that Steve had stopped playing cards with Bucky and began to sketch you reading on the couch. The skinny young man would always try to sketch you whenever he could; he called you his muse and his inspiration, and there were over a dozen drawings in his notebook to prove it. A small smile appeared on your face as you tried to look natural while reading. The radio programs were nothing too special but you had been waiting for Blair Of The Mounties to come on since last week so you could hear the conclusion of the story. It was entertaining to listen to as you read your book, your multitasking skills hard at work.

After some time, you stretched out and a small yawn slipped past your lips and you were losing focus in your book. This felt like the best time to doze off and it was as if the boys could sense your exhaustion and they joined you on the couch for that sleep that called to you three. Bucky pulled you to his chest as he loved to hold you from behind so you lay against him and Steve snuggled up to you; nothing made him more calm than listening to your heartbeat. Happy and content the three of you were as you all drifted off to sleep with the rain, the fireplace, the radio, and their light snores lulling you three off into a wonderful night’s rest.
