Major crude oil crisis ahead? Saudi Oil Giant limits production as Hormouz closure chokes oil flow

Amid reported fuel shortage all around the globe, shocking news has emerged from Saudi Arabia. Saudi oil giant Aramco has begun cutting output at two of its oilfields, reported Reuters citing two sources on March 09. Aramco has reportedly taken the step after vital Strait of Hormuz was choked by the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran and subsequent attacks on the waterway. Several of Saudi Arabia's neighbours, which have also been subject to attacks by Iran, have also cut production, Reuters further reported. Prolonged disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz can further trigger oil price rise and disruptions even for India.
