We speak with Jason Judd, Executive Director of the Global Labor Institute at the Cornell ILR School, part of Cornell University, about the ongoing Heat Stress and Productivity Study in Bangladesh's garment sector.
Rising temperatures and poor ventilation in factories are becoming a growing challenge for worker health, productivity, and industrial sustainability. Through this research initiative, Cornell and its partners are collecting real-world data from garment factories and worker communities to understand how heat impacts productivity, working conditions, and overall wellbeing.
