EP07 — Hidden Temples & Forest Paths
Today ends up being one of those unplanned days that turn into the best stories. I start the morning with a scenic drive near Mount Fuji — narrow village roads, calm views, and the peaceful side of Japan that feels far from the busy cities.

While exploring, I stumble across a mystical forest path lined with stone statues leading to a hidden temple tucked deep in the woods. Moments later, an unexpected theme park rises out of nowhere, and from a high observation deck, I get one of the most incredible views of Mount Fuji yet — complete with roller coasters flying past.

Later, I explore Japan’s unique “car rest” culture, show more of my campervan setup, and then end the day at one of the quietest wild spots of my entire trip — sleeping alone between a lake and a cliff.
Of course, it wouldn’t be van life without a mosquito battle before going to sleep.

A day full of surprises — and one I’ll never forget.
