Hello,
On my third day in Purulia, I visited a number of well-known sites near Ajodhya Pahar. I travelled all day long, visiting at well-known locations like Murguma Dam, Khairabera Dam, Charida Village, Marble Lake, etc. In this videos, I took you to see those well-known locations.

The Purulia district of the Indian state of West Bengal contains the Ajodhya Pahar, a tiny plateau with mountainous surroundings. Chamtaburu is the highest peak in the Ajodhya Pahar (699 m). Ajodhya Pahar, which are a portion of the Dalma Mountain range between West Bengal and Jharkhand, are around 300 kilometres from Kolkata. According to legend, Lord Rama and Sita spent their exile in the Ayodhya Hills. The Ayodhya Hills are an excellent place for trekking through thick forests and around mountain lakes, seeing some animals, bird-watching, and learning about the tribal culture of the area. Nature enthusiasts and photographers will love Ayodhya Pahar. The two major hills in this area are Gorgaburu and Mayur. Rock climbing beginners who are mountaineers frequently travel there. The best months to visit Ayodhya Pahar are September through March because of the beautiful skies and slight breeze. This location has earned a significant spot on the Indian tourist map due to its handy placement.


Murguma Dam: A tributary of the Kangsabati River in West Bengal, India, the Saharajhore River is where the Murguma Dam has been built.
On the Ajodhya Hills' foothills, the dam is built close to Murguma Village. In addition, a number of additional streams enter the dam straight from the Ajodhya Hills. There are hills, forests, and a lot of tiny islands all around the dam. The location situated on Ajodhya Hills, which is thought to as the eastern continuation of the Chota Nagpur Plateau, at its northwestern corner.

Khairabera dam: This irrigation dam is located in Baghmundi between hills and a forest. It is an appealing location with great potential to become a popular tourist destination. There is a large water body at the base of the Chemto and Barra Hills in this location, which is located in the Baghmundi block around 70 kilometres from Purulia town. The red-flowering Palash trees provide a fresh dimension to the area's picturesque attractiveness in the Spring. The area is scenically beautiful and has the resources to become a popular tourist destination.

Charida Village (Mukhosh Gram): Charida is a village in the Baghmundi CD block of the Jhalda subdivision of the Purulia district in West Bengal. It is also known as Mask village or Mukhosh Gram. The Chhau masks used in the Purulia's Chhau dance are known as Charida's speciality. Mask-making is a common family activity. The Chhau craft itself has been around for 150 years, from the time of Baghmundi's Maharaja Madan Mohan Singh Deo. Charida has a Chhau mask festival in January to February.

Marble Lake: One of the most popular attractions in the area right now is Tarpania Lake, often known as Marble Lake locally. Tarpania Lake was formerly an open-pit mine and creates a surreal environment. It is reported that this lake was unexpectedly found in the middle of nowhere while the surrounding hills were being blasted for the construction of the fourth-largest hydroelectric power plant. Due to the lake's blue waters, locals refer to the dam as Blue Dam or Patal Dam.
