This video explains the recent advisory issued by Embassy of India, Manila for students studying MBBS in Philippines. According to my interpretation of this advisory, student enrolled for MD program before 18th November 2021 will not come under the impact of FMGL- 21. Course duration for MBBS in Philippines for such students will be 4 years of MD and 1 year of internship. This excludes any time duration invested for BS program. The advisory emphasizes enrollment of MD program and the impact on students in regards to the MD enrollment date. BS is not the part of MD.
Students who have started their MD after 18th November 2021 will come under the impact of FMGL-21. The course duration of MBBS in Philippines for such students will be BS- 1.6- 2years, MD- 4.5 years (54 months), 1 year internship in Philippines and 1 year internship in India. Dual internship will also be applicable. MD degree below 54 month will not be considered valid.
