Florida A&M University's Board of Trustees held a special meeting today to evaluate the $237 million donation from the Issac Batterson 7th Family Trust.
After skepticism followed the announcement, the university has since paused Gregory Gerami's gift.
The board voted to have an independent third party conduct an investigation into how the donation, which raised so many red flags, got as far as it did.
Before the meeting, FAMU President Dr. Larry Robinson made this statement.
