Col de la Loze, the Tour de France's weapon of mass destruction

Описание: The 2020 Tour de France route has been revealed and one of the highlights is the Grenoble to Meribel stage finishing on the 2300 meter Col de la Loze.

If you've not heard of this, the 7th highest paved mountain pass in France, it is because it was only opened this season. It links Merible to Courchevel and is reserved for cyclists. The tour will climb from Moutiers through Meribel and finish on the top. This is the hardest side and the final 6km after Meribel is a series of ramps, flatter sections and more ramps. The overall slope percentage hides the difficulty of the climb. It will suite a true climber rather than someone who can roll along behind a train.
