What happens when a carbon propeller meets a flying chicken... at extreme speed?
This is not a joke.
This is a bird trike test.
To validate the structural integrity and safety of our carbon propellers, we use a chicken gun, a 9-meter-long steel cannon designed to launch a calibrated gelatin projectile (equivalent to a bird) at high velocity directly into the propeller.
Why?
Because in aviation, safety is proven, not claimed.
This test allows us to:
Simulate real bird strike scenarios
Analyze impact behavior at operational speeds
Validate materials, layups, and energy absorption
Push our designs beyond certification requirements
