Mrs.Vahchef is very fond of cooking and her Recipes are very unique and fit for busy women specially working women
This is a sweet rava poori prepared for diwali festivals in Telangana State.
INGREDIENTS:
Ghee 2 -3 tsp
Semolina 1 cup
Water as required
Cardamom powder 1 pinch
Sugar 1 cup
Wheat flour 1 cup
Salt 1 pinch
Oil To fry
METHOD:
1. Heat 1 tsp ghee in a pan and add semolina and roast it, add water, cardamom powder and cook it for 2 mins.
2. Add sugar and mix it and cook until lump is formed, transfer into a plate.
3. Make round balls and allow it rest for some time.
4. Take a bowl, add wheat flour, pinch of salt, oil and mix nicely using water to make a dough.
5. Divide dough into small portions and make flat round shape with fingers on ghee applied polythene sheet.
6. Stuff the semolina ball and seal edges.
7. Press it with fingers or roll it with rolling pin and into thin puri and deep fry in oil.
8. Once it it puffed up transfer into paper towel.
9. Now grandma style rava poori is ready to serve.
