Andhra launches Quantum Valley, India Unveils 6G Mission, HP to Make All PCs in India

Описание: Andhra Pradesh has just announced Quantum Valley in Amaravati, a first-of-its-kind initiative to position India at the forefront of quantum computing and deep tech innovation. Global giants Microsoft (₹1,772 crore), IBM, and Fujitsu are partnering with the state to build high-performance quantum computers - including a 1,200-qubit system by Microsoft and a 133-qubit system by IBM. Spread over 50 acres and 90 lakh sq. ft. of infrastructure, the project includes the Amaravati Quantum Computing Center (AQCC) and research hubs for universities and startups. This is Andhra’s boldest step yet into the future of quantum technology.

India has taken a major leap toward the 6G revolution with the launch of 100 new 5G Labs nationwide to boost research, testing, and innovation. Speaking at ESTIC 2025, Telecom Secretary Dr. Neeraj Mittal said India aims to secure 10% of global 6G patents by 2030 through the Bharat 6G Alliance, which has already signed 10 international partnerships. The conclave, inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi, also showcased advancements in advanced materials, manufacturing, and digital technologies. India is building a knowledge-driven economy and positioning itself as a global leader in next-gen telecom innovation.

Global tech giant HP has announced plans to manufacture all PCs sold in India locally within the next three to five years, marking a huge win for the Make in India initiative. CEO Enrique Lores confirmed that India will not only meet domestic demand but also emerge as an export hub for PCs. With AI-powered PCs now making up 25% of shipments, HP is betting big on AI-driven computing and supply chain diversification away from China. The move aligns with India’s PLI scheme, promising job creation, lower costs, and a stronger position for India in the global tech ecosystem.
